Terms of service

Effective September 21, 2026

These terms govern use of the FlipperStream website and associated Pinprovement applications. FlipperStream is a private-beta pinball recording and analysis service. Questions can be sent to privacy@flipper.stream. By using an invited account, you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, do not use the service.

Accounts and access

Registration is currently closed unless we invite you. Keep your credentials private and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account and must tell us promptly about unauthorized access. Workspace roles determine what you can see or change. We may suspend access to protect the service or respond to misuse.

Your footage and permissions

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to receive, store, transcode, analyze, display to authorized users, and delete it in accordance with your settings and our privacy policy. You must have the rights to upload or reference footage and any accompanying audio, and a lawful basis for processing personal data of people in it. Where facial identification requires explicit consent, obtain it from each affected person before submitting their footage for that purpose. Permission to film or upload is not automatically permission for biometric identification. Do not submit footage for facial identification if you cannot establish the required basis.

You must not submit unlawful material, infringe others' rights, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or attempt to extract another user's private data. Links to Twitch, YouTube, Kineticist, or other services remain subject to those services' terms; we do not grant rights in third-party content.

Sharing and accuracy

Marking a session public makes it visible to signed-in FlipperStream users and in addition may make it available anonymously. Consider everyone shown or named before sharing. Computer vision, OCR, scores, player identification, and event timing are estimates and may be wrong or incomplete. Verify results before using them for tournaments, rankings, or other decisions. You can correct or remove some data in the app and request broader deletion using our deletion process.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as a private beta and may change, pause, or end. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, preservation of every recording, or a particular analysis result. Keep your own copies of valuable recordings and exports. We may change these terms and will update the effective date and give notice of material changes before they take effect where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, FlipperStream is provided “as is” without warranties, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from service interruptions or inaccurate analysis. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits non-waivable privacy and consumer rights.

Ending use

You may stop using the service and request account or content deletion. We may terminate access for material violations or legal and security reasons. Data handling after termination follows our retention and deletion policy. Provisions that reasonably need to continue, such as ownership, liability, and dispute-related terms, survive termination.
